Quality Manager, North America

Peoplelink Professional & Technical Staffing is a leading Nationwide recruiting firm.  Our client manufactures the world’s leading refreshment centers. We are currently recruiting for Quality Manager/North America that can lead and drive the Quality Systems for their North American Facility.

 

Summary:

The purpose of this role is to be the champion and guardian of Quality for North America. This includes Vendor Quality Assurance in the North American supplier base, Manufacturing, and quality in distribution. The job exists to ensure that the appropriate Quality Management Systems are in place that ensures the consistent high quality, safety and legality of our products and effectively applied in order to deliver high and continually improving levels of Customer / Consumer Satisfaction.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

· Lead and champion the Quality initiative in North America, serving as the “go to person� for all internal and external quality issues.

· Give input to and ensure that the quality strategy is implemented at our factory (product performance, customer service & service recovery) by the management of the Quality Review Process and by leading improvement initiatives.

· Ensure products meet specification by developing and applying appropriate quality systems throughout the drinks supply chain.

· Manage the Product-Related Incident Management Process (PRIMP) to professionally manage all product-related quality incidents for North America and communicate outcomes clearly, internally, externally, and corporately.

· Audit the quality management system to ensure compliance to ISO9001:2000.

· Develop pipeline quality control plans for new products manufactured and support Research & Development to ensure that product capability can be sustained long term.

· Ensure associates are adequately trained in the use of necessary quality tools and techniques.

· Safeguard the customer where standards are not met by initiating appropriate corrective and preventive action throughout the whole supply chain using lean and six-sigma techniques.

· Ensure adequate quality records are kept to enable our traceability and retrieval systems to operate.

· Uphold legal & commercial compliance to all specified standards; e.g. Labelling regulations, Kosher certification etc.

· Manage and develop the capability of Quality team associates to support the factory in a hyper sales growth environment.

· Continually improve processes such as HAACP and Vendor Quality Assurances to our Quality Standard.
