Quality Assurance Representative (Food Industry Only)

QA Representative

This position reports to the QA Manager and is responsible for monitoring the quality of product during manufacture, auditing, and as needed, inspecting process control points as defined by the company



Position requires recognizing, trouble-shooting and resolving non-compliant product or situations with interaction of production employees and regulatory agencies.

Also responsible for providing technical support and training for Production Employees and other staff within said area to maintain the quality system for compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Responsible for training and skills development of Production personnel in general audit requirements, recipe procedures, GMP's, bacteriological controls, sanitation/equipment inspection, PQC, QMS, SPC, SSOP and HACCP techniques to assure effective controls are in place during product manufacture.

Responsible for promoting and establishing good communications with all departments, levels of management, and governmental agencies throughout the production arena.

Responsible for recording, maintaining and follow-up for all NR's issued to the plant by regulatory agencies..



Must understand and interpret SPC data, TQC, HACCP, QMS, SSOP, and other policies/procedures.

Responsible for the rejection or retention of substandard product and ingredients throughout every area within this manufacturing facility, including finished product and packaging materials.

Responsible for complete and accurate daily documentation of all QA concerns which arise on the production floor..

Must also complete special projects and assignments required by the QA Manager which address QA issues within every area of the facility
