Programmer Analyst

Analyze, design, develop, maintain and improve business processes and corresponding software applications to allow Wells' Dairy to function according to user needs for the assigned area. This is done according to the priorities and direction established by management. Direction and assistance will come from other members of the Application Development team as needed.

 

* Needs to understand complex environments, Oracle Development and Database skills, and Java Experience.

 

Exhibit proficient technical skills/abilities required for developing, implementing and maintaining business software applications within specified time frames, using the tools required for the position.

 

Test/debug application systems to ensure accuracy, standards compliance, meet requirements, and have acceptable response times while adhering to time constraints and project deadlines.

 

Document application systems and procedures according to organizational needs. This includes test scripts, LDRP, maintenance, process, training, customer, etc., ensuring compliance with department standards and proper handoff to testing team.

 

Efficiently create technical solutions by applying skills and knowledge as well as interpreting business requirements and strategy.

 

Lead efforts of small to moderately complex projects, occasionally giving direction to other team members, and at times internal customers. Prioritize in accordance with guidance provided and organizational needs, meeting specified time line/s.

 

BS degree preferred. Could take someone right out of college that has these skills.

 

Operating Systems: Unix, Windows familiarity

Languages/Tools: SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Developer, Java, HTML, XML

Tools:  Toad, SQL*Plus, Oracle Forms and Reports Developer, Oracle J-Developer, HTMLDB/APEX, 

Area of Expertise:  Primarily Logistics…Lot Control/tracking, Lot Genealogy, Inventory Movement, Order Management/Tracking, Loadout/Shipping, Procurement, Dairy Procurement
