Plant Financial Manager I

Sara Lee Corporation employs 137,000 people worldwide.Each and every day, Sara Lee (NYSE: SLE) delights millions of consumers and customers around the world.  The company has one of the world's best-loved and leading portfolios with its innovative and trusted food, beverage, household and body care brands, including Ambi Pur, Ball Park, Douwe Egberts, Hillshire Farm, Jimmy Dean, Kiwi, Sanex, Sara Lee, and Senseo.  Collectively, these brands generate more than $13 billion in annual net sales covering approximately 200 countries.  The Sara Lee community consists of 44,000 employees worldwide As an integral member of our Supply Chain Finance team, you will be: Responsible for the financial planning, analysis and reporting functions of the plant manufacturing unit.  Managing the plant accounting staff performing the local accounting functions including accounts payable, payroll, production accounting and general accounting.   Essential Duties & Responsibilities:   Areas of responsibility include General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable and Payroll Develop Annual Operating Plans and Quarterly Projections Prepare daily, weekly and period-end reports and ad-hoc analysis when necessary Prepare weekly department scorecard detailing line efficiencies, material overuse and spending variances Participate in plant leadership meetings and strategy sessions Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations Monitor compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley Supervise, lead and develop accounting Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance, MBA ; CPA preferred Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing accounting environment Knowledgeable in the areas of GAAP, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Payable and Payroll Familiar with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.  Excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access (required);  SAP / JD Edwards (preferred) Self starter, quick learner, team player, flexible Capable of leading and managing projects.  An Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer
