part time Tasting Room Staff Tassel Ridge Winery, located near Leighton, Iowa is seeking a highly motivated, team - oriented individual to join the organization by working 25-30 hours per week in the Tasting Room Wednesdays through Fridays, weekends and /or holidays. The successful candidates will be a team player with vibrant personality and great people skills that will effectively represent the winery. This unique individual must demonstrate a passion for wine and willingness and a willingness to preform any winery function necessary to provide our visitors with a memorable winery experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable conducting detailed tours for 2 to 30 people and will understand the value and importance of creating customer relationships. Primary responsibilities include conducting winery tours, educating customers about our wine, leading wine -tasting activities, and preforming gift shop transactions. The exemplary candidate will process: ? A basic interest in wine and a desire to learn about wine by tasting, consuming wine with meals, and participating as a member of a wine tasting panel. ?A proven work ethic ?Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. ?An ability to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base. ?Team orientation with ability to work in an environment that requires flexibility. ?Some computer knowledge ?A professional demeanor and appearance. ?An ability to handle challenging situations in a calm, professional, and positive manner. The capability to lift 40 lbs., stand and /or walk for long periods of time, and work in a varied climatic conditions is required. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
