Manager 3 - Retail

Sodexo is seeking for Food Service Manager / Retail Manager for a 259 bed hospital in Montgomery, AL area. The Food Service Retail Manager at this location will be responsible in managing the daily operations of the food service area / cafeteria / dining hall/ catering, manage up to 20 employees and some of the 2.2 million in unit managed volume and manage food cost / labor cost and have overall understanding of P&L. Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate for this position will have experience in contract management, experience in customer service, customer relations, managing diverse workforce, managing daily operations of a cafeteria / food service area / restaurant / dining room/ food production, strong financial / P&L knowledge, and experience in managing and developing staff and training. ~cb~ Position Summary: Maintains food quality and customer service in a cash handling retail food operation that includes branded concepts, in-house formats and signature designs. May assume GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Basic Education Requirement: High School Diploma or GED Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: 2 years of lead/supervisory/management experience Basic Functional Experience Required: 2 years of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations. You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.
