Manager 1 - Food Production

Food Production Manager needed for 225 Bed facility. Role will manage multiple services in unionized environment. Sucessful individual is responsible for inventory management and procurement of food and supplies, should be familiar with safety programs, JCAHO and other regulatory agencies. Knowledge of HACCP and be certified in safe food handling. Must have excellent commnication skills and ability to get along with a diverse workforce. Must be able to recognize and produce quality products, good training skills, and preferred to have a culinary backround in healthcare or other related area. Has some budget responsibilities related to food procuements and management for food and supplies. Previous union experience helpful. ~CB~ Position Summary: Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of food production employees. Responsible for the purchasing and receiving of food and supplies, as well as monitoring the inventory. Maintains food production records/cost indicators. Plans and costs menus. Basic Education Requirement: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: None Basic Functional Experience Required: 1 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc. You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.
