** EMORY UNIVERSITY ** Hands on catering manager to assist the catering director with all aspects of catering on campus. Will be resposible for driving the catering van to selected events on campus and supervising catering staff on set up and service of events. * The ideal candidate will have - - collegeuniversity catering experience - hands on catering management experience - experience training and leading catering staff - experience with labor management systems - experience with cost controls - experience writing and delivering catering menus - good computer skills - experience working with a diverse customer and client base - experience with HACCP and food safety NOT A CATERING SALES OR CATERING CULINARY POSITION. ~cb~ Position Summary: Manages all catered events. Hires, schedules, and trains catering staff. Works with clients/customers to arrange and follow through on all catering details and to ensure all special requests are met. Directs setup for events. Responsible for pricing, billing and resolving customer complaints. Develops menu/costing. Basic Education Requirement: High School Diploma or GED Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: None Basic Functional Experience Required: None You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.
