Maintenance Manager

The Company is seeking an organized deadline oriented, self-starter to work in maintaining the efficient running of the production facility. Responsibilities include managing all maintenance functions within a high volume processing facility.  This individual will report to the plant manager, and have as direct reports maintenance supervisors and maintenance staff.

The qualified candidate must have at least 5 years experience as maintenance manager or plant engineer within a high-speed manufacturing or beverage industry.  Must have well-rounded skills to include managing capital projects setting up preventative maintenance programs, managing a maintenance department, waste water and environmental issues as well as budgeting experience.  Experience in all facets of equipment repair, plumbing, electrical and machining required.  Individual will be actively involved in the company safety program as well as the long-term and short-term goals of the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities -

Manage the maintenance department of electrical/mechanical technicians.

Lead the group in maintaining plant equipment and property in excellent working condition.

Develop and institute maintenance best practices with clearly defined goals that have the result of driving plant performance

Manage the department safety program

Education and/or Experience -BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.  Applicants not meeting this attribute must show prior experience sufficient to demonstrate equivalent capabilities. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures

Physical Demands:

Ability to use hands to feel objects, tools and controls.  Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50-pound boxes and materials regularly.  Ability to regularly stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  Must have close and distance vision and ability to distinguish colors.
