The primary role of the Maintenance Planner/Controller is the management of the maintenance systems, the generation of routine and planned maintenance schedules and the support of maintenance teams in the execution of maintenance. Provide leadership, coaching and technical expertise to support WCM maintenance practices. These positions will be in the Packaging Department. Among other items, the successful applicant for the position will be expected to do the following: Supervise employee's efforts (PM inspection, repair and rebuild) to ensure optimum equipment performance within established quality, safety, and budgeting and jurisdiction guidelines. Insure the advancement of MMS and RCM processes. Provide specialized technical support, as required, to Operations' Work Groups to ensure attainment of production standards. Provide scheduling coordination for routine maintenance activities and data analysis of Maximo and Reliability software to ensure optimum use is made of labor and parts to maintain equipment integrity. Provide budgeting coordination of parts, labor, and services, to include establishment and monitoring, to ensure lowest cost per barrel while optimizing equipment performance. A degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Must have strong basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and maintenance fundamentals, machine shop practice, and thorough understanding of basic electricity. Must have basic knowledge of programming techniques and electronic control devices for continuous production lines. Must have basic familiarity with principles of fluidity, including pressure/flow/volume characteristics. Must be thoroughly familiar with basics of hydraulic applications, pneumatic applications, lubrication requirements and techniques, and/or familiarity of solid state components and systems. Must have the ability to comprehend technical maintenance manuals, drawings, and specifications. Must have good working knowledge of parts/materials procurement, inventory control methods, and budgeting requirements. Must be familiar with EEO and affirmative action laws and compliance. Must have the ability to direct concurrent activities, prioritize and allot personal involvement, as needed, to meet established workload criteria. Must possess a high level of ability to apply technical knowledge to a variety of equipment for maintenance and upgrading equipment performance. Must have a high level of ability to supervise and motivate members of bargaining units within contractual and legal EEO/AA framework to utilize human resources and foster enthusiasm within a team-based environment.
