To continue our tradition of outstanding excellence, The Orlando Fountains Resort is currently seeking a Kitchen Manager to join our growing staff.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:Work with the Food & Beverage Manager to recreate menus, lower food costs, increase revenues, and focus on marketing specials.  Hands on involvement with inventory control, food/labor cost, and kitchen sanitation. Serve as support in some shifts when occupancy is low and/or during staff training seminars. Assist in leading and working mainly the daily operations of the kitchen but also supervise the Restaurant, Bar, Dining Room, Banquet Facilities and Room Service activities and their coordination with other departments. Responsible for the training and mentoring of kitchen staff, supervising the kitchen and making sure that the kitchen is up to quality audit standards. Oversees kitchen schedule, follow a checklist provided to you by the Food & Beverage Manager. Ensure overall quality and presentation.  Responsible for maintaining proper working relationships between the food and beverage department and all other departments. Responsible for supervising a staff of up to seven or more associates Manage the food inventory to attain the highest yield per Food and Beverage objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent experience required.  Minimum of two years hospitality Supervisor experience within a large high-end resort or hotel is preferred. Minimum of two years of management experience required in the culinary field. Must have knowledge of daily F&B operations, yield management and problem resolution. Must also have a high level of interpersonal skills when dealing with associates and Guest/Owners and the ability to supervise a staff of 10-20 associates by effectively communicating Prefer Certification of Food & Beverage Management, as well as, the SafeServe food handling certification Self-starter – ability to work independently. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
