HVAC Refrigeration technician
We are in immediate need of 2 experienced HVAC refrigeration technicians to field service soft serve ice cream freezers in the Metro Los Angeles-Orange County area. Specific experience on ice cream freezers IS NOT a requirement, but journeyman experience in low temperature refrigeration with R404a, as well as a working knowledge of mechanical and digital control circuits is a must.Â

This is a long term, year round position with a long established stable company.  There's a lot of driving from account to account and there is a lot of overtime available. Some weekend work and some rare overnight travel should be expected.

We've just added 3 major national restaurant chains to our customer base in addtion to the hundreds of accounts we already service.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Â
Repair and maintain ice cream and milk shake manufacturing freezers in customer's locations, perform periodic maintenance, deliver and install new equipment, train store personnel on proper operating procedure, refurbish equipment in our shop, maintain parts inventory on the company vehicles and in the shop are most of what the work entails.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Â
EPA Universal certification
Clean driving history for at least 5 years
Ability to cleanly braze copper tubing with 15% silver solder
10 or more years experience or equivalent in low temperature refrigeration or HVAC
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Ability to take direction and follow instructionsExcellent  customer relations skills
Self motivated to solve problems
Knowledge of computerized controls is a plus.
Pass basic background check and drug test

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:Â Â Â Â Â Â
Â
The hourly wage will be commensurate with the employee's skill level, experience, and demonstrated ability. This position is for top performers only. Historically, this has been at the upper part of, or above the range for field service refrigeration technicians. Total annual earnings for a hard working, competent individual can easily reach up to $100,000 annually.
