Flavor Manager - Food industry

Our client is a major, successful manufacturer in the food industry.  They have an immediate need for a Flavor Manager for their flavor center.  This is a great position from a growth and exposure perspective.Develop, plan, conduct, and coordinate new product development from conceptualization through commercialization  Ã˜ BS degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field Ã˜ 5 – 10 years experience in product development in the food industry or related field, preferably in confectionery or general flavor development Ã˜  Solid understanding of food science, food manufacturing processes and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Ã˜  Ability to work in a manufacturing environment Ã˜  Flexibility to operate with changing priorities and timelines Ã˜  Excellent math, verbal, and written communication skills Ã˜  Experience with MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.) Ã˜  Ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 25% of the time, and work irregular hours when needed They will develop and enhance new products for new and existing customers, as well as develop new product concepts and prototypes, based on consumer trends and marketing analysis.Coordinates and conducts bench-top, plant trials, and scale-up trials to develop new product formulas, samples, processing plans, and all other specificationsApplies knowledge of food science and manufacturing processes to creatively solve problems to achieve project resultsCollects and maintains records on formulas, specifications, process and packaging for new and existing productsInterfaces with Marketing and Sales Team on a regular basis, offering technical support, including making and presenting recommendations and solutionsCoordinates with other functional areas involved in product development including Sales,, Operations, Quality Assurance, and MarketingStay current with new food regulatory legislation as it relates to confections This is a great opportunity with a great company.  It offers terrific benefits, compensation, and growth.  If you are interested, you must include a Word resume and your salary requirements with your response.
