Distribution Manager
The Distribution Manager provides support and guidance to the Local Management in order to assist in making sound business decisions. He/she will be responsible for maintaining a cost-efficient fleet branch facilities and distribution operation. Primary objective is to support our route salesmen, transport, and plant operations. This guidance will be in large part driven by analytical reasoning, analysis and experience gained through professional exposure. Coordinate and Assist the Local Management Staff to achieve their goals and objectives Assist in the development of refinement of vehicle and equipment specifications. Assist in the development and adherence of companies’ preventive Maintenance program. Monitor-in-house and outside repair shops to insure prompt and correct repairs are preformed at the lowest possible cost. Train distribution personnel on safest and most effective methods of performing distribution functions. Provide necessary support for keeping company’s branch facilities well maintained and operating effectively. Coordinate the Maintenance, repair and storage of all display equipment. Coordinates the Maintenance and repair of branch facilities, remote hook up, and associated repairs. Ensures that route returns are maintained within company standards. Ensures that Company case returns and sales distribution cost containment programs are adhered to effectively. Analyzes route layout to ensure proper route coverage for existing customers or seasonal demands. Ensures full compliance with companies’ dress code policy and good hygiene and housekeeping practices. Performs regular inspections to ensure all facilities, equipment and vehicles are in complete compliance with company standards. Assist the management staff in promoting and monitoring the development of loss control programs including inspection, DOT regulations, driver training, rules and accident investigation. Able to perform other related duties. Job Requirements: Strong Interpersonal and Relationship Building Skills Self Motivated and Detail Oriented Ability to Work both Individually and as a Team Member BA in Business, preferred with five years related experience in transportation. Strong team player who is able to work across multiple functions and disciplines. Strong leadership skills to attract, develop, and retain exceptional employees. Strong verbal and written communication skills allowing for expression of key points in a clear manner to a variety of audiences (managers, represented employees, non-represented employees, manufacturing, distribution, etc.).
