The Reporting and Data Analyst is responsible for supporting all facets of BBC’s reporting infrastructure including: data consolidation, data analysis, report design and implementation, responding to user issues and requests, and collaborating with users to identify, evaluate, and implement solutions to meet the needs of the business.
To Be Mixed With:
Provide business support to end users through development of reporting and data sources which provide actionable information to the business.Maintain a high level of data quality through rigorous analysis of all data used in reporting. Provide support to end-users by resolving reporting problems, providing proactive reporting systems maintenance, and training users.Suggest and participate in IT projects, offering skills and insights in an effort to bring value to the organization by leveraging BBC’s technological and reporting infrastructure.Act as backup to Systems Manager. Adhere to IT department policies and procedures when performing tasks so as to ensure controls are in place and departmental goals are met.
Ingredients to Be a Successful Data and Reporting Analyst:
1-3 years of experience in corporate reporting1 year of experience with Cognos Series 8 or Cognos Reportnet software as a report authorExperience with sales reporting is a plusExperience with multidimensional and relational databases a plusExperience with a scripting language such as Perl, VBA, or Javascript a plusBachelor’s degree in Business, Financial Analysis, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
