Customer Service Rep/Admin

Overall Responsibilities Â· Perform administrative duties for Warehouse  or Transportation Operations  Â· Schedule receiving or back haul appointments and coordinate with Purchasing department.· Available to work flexible hours and holidays as needed.  Schedule will vary depending on slow and busy season. II.  Qualifications/Prerequisites EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High School or G.E.D. is required.  Three to six months related experience and/or training is desired.  Prior customer relation’s experience and team orientation is desired. LANGUAGE SKILLS:Must be able to read, write and speak English.  Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.  Some computer skills are required. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply.  Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.  Ability to apply basic concepts of geometry and algebra. REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Be able to make decisions and function with minimal supervision to resolve possible adverse situations on a daily basis.  Ability to handle more than one task at a time.  III. Essential duties and Requirements Â§ Verify contents of shipment against paperwork in receiving department and verify contents of outgoing deliveries against bills of lading and shipping invoices.§ Handle all incoming calls, provides information to callers and schedules receiving appointment as necessary.§ Prepare daily Marketing/Customer Service reports.§ Prepare Product to Product transfers.§ Print daily worksheets and picking documents.§ Assign lanes and doors to truck runs.§ Prepare picking documents for selection.§ Be familiar with the procedures for nightly piece count, ship verification printing of invoices, substitutions and add-ons. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. IV. Nonessential Job Duties Â§ Occasionally assist other areas of the warehouse when needed.§ Provide direction to warehouse selectors and loaders when certain duties need to be carried out.§ May be responsible for training employees in certain situations such as planning, assigning and directing work.§ Perform other routine duties as necessary. V.  Physical Requirements Â§ Occasional lifting of cases up to forty pounds.§ Operate and understand the functions of a computer including Microsoft office and Outlook functions. VI.
