Catering Sales Manager

** Emory University ** * This CATERING SALES Magager is responsible for receiving and processing all catering requests that come into the catering office. In addition, this manager will actively solicit new business. This manager will work from a catering guide but will also need to develop, cost and price individule cateing orders. At times, this manager will manage certain catering events. Position reports to the Catering Director on campus. This is a high volume, upscale catering program. * The ideal candidate will have - - high volume college/university catering sales and catering management experience - high volume hands on catering sales experience - experience develpoping, costing and writing catering menus - experience actively soliciting catering business - a culinary degree - excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact in a professional manner with all customer groups. ~cb~ Position Summary: Manages all catered events. Hires, schedules, and trains catering staff. Works with clients/customers to arrange and follow through on all catering details and to ensure all special requests are met. Directs setup for events. Responsible for pricing, billing and resolving customer complaints. Develops menu/costing. Basic Education Requirement: High School Diploma or GED Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: 2 years of lead/supervisory/management experience Basic Functional Experience Required: 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc. You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.
