As The Hershey Company expands globally our Infrastructure Specialists will serve as a key player in developing and maintaining our Telecommunications and Networking Infrastructure. This position leads the technical planning, design, configuration, implemention, and deployment of infrastructure related technologies within the Communication Networks realm. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment and optimizatioin of communication networks and provide enhanced and optimized maintenance support of highly complex telecommunications and networking technologies. This position leads complex system integration testing and evaluation and serves in a leadership capacity to guide work efforts of cross- functional teams to perform system restoration activities. Functional Responsibilities (30%): - Responsible for the technical detail design, development, modification, delivery, and maintenance of complex infrastructure technologies - Leads the evaluation of discipline specific infrastructure related technologies and makes recommendations to IS management - Reviews and oversees development of technical documentation for infrastructure related technologies - Subject matter expert in discipline specific infrastructure related technologies - Leads strategic development for specific technical discipline Problem Resolution (25%): - Provides 3rd level support for highly complex and/or internally escalated infrastructure related problems Mentoring (15%): - Provides direction, guidance and training to team members through the sharing of technical expertise Budgeting (10%): - Manages complex projects and cross-functional teams to achieve results within time and budget - Actively contributes to development of cost center budget and planning process Process & Metrics (10%): - Recognizes need and facilitates development of IT internal process innovations - Negotiates and leads the creation of internal and external SLA's Customer and Vendor Relationships (10%): - Responsible for maintaining vendor relationships for specific infrastructure related technologies Education: B.S. in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field OR equivalent in technical training and work experience. Experience: Minimum of 2 years at the Infrastructure Specialist or equivalent relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have a Cisco CCNP and/or CCDP designation with a CCVP highly desired.
