Assistant Restaurant Manager

Studio Diner is a 24 hour/7 day a week, Casual Serve Independent Restaurant in Central San Diego, in need of an Assistant Service Manager.  Applicant must have the ability to work three to four overnight shifts per week out of a five day week.    

                                                                                                           

Major Functions and Responsibilities Supervise daily operations. Ensure that customers are satisfied with their dining experience. Schedule work hours, making sure that enough workers are present to cover shifts. Provide necessary training and motivation to employees. Monitor the actions of employees and patrons to ensure the personal safety of everyone. Effectively deal with and solve customer complaints. Meet and greet customers and organize table reservations. Manage staff throughout their shift and provide them with feedback.

 

Skills/Requirements Must have 2-4+ years restaurant experience. Familiarity with ALOHA P.O.S. is a strong plus. Training experience and ability to motivate employees to work as a team desired. Must be reliable, show initiative and be a good communicator.  Provide creative input to aid in business growth. Be a team player! Ability to work a 45-50 hour week. Detail oriented and a self-starter.  Must have ability to work weekends, holidays, nights and overnight shifts.
