Assistant Director of Engineering

The Assistant Director of the Engineering - maintenance Department will oversee the daily operations of the maintenance and plant operations department at Georgetown University Hospital. The Assistant Director of Plant Operations will report to the Director of Engineering and assist with daily operations including customer service, staff development, regulatory compliance (JCAHO, NFPA, etc.), preventive and corrective maintenance, and project management. The Ideal candidate will have 1-3 years experience in managing a maintenance department in a healthcare organization along with the technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, & plumbing systems. ~cb~ Position Summary: Number two position at the account with responsibility for all operations. Assumes GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Supervises managers. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Basic Education Requirement: High School Diploma or GED Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: 2 years of lead/supervisory/management experience Basic Functional Experience Required: 2 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.
