Looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity with a wholesale artisan bakery? We are a small (approx 50 employees) privately owned bakery in Northeast Portland with over 20 years experience in wholesale artisan bread making with strong ties to the community. The right candidate for this hand - on chance will be a dynamic, seasoned and skilled artisan baker with 5-7 years of managerial experience in a production environment. In this role you will work under the direction of our Director of Operations to oversee daily work activity in production and operations departments. You will be directly responsible for scheduling and monitoring work activity, purchasing and inventory control, ensure compliance of all procedures for preparing a variety of baked breads and pastries as well as equipment procedural compliance.

 

Candidates who meet the following minimum qualifications will be considered:

·         5 years artisan bread and pastry production experience

·         5-7 years managerial experience in a production environment

·         Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with diverse workforce

·         Basic computer skills

·         Proven ability as a strong leader and team member

·         Effective communication skills; written and oral

·         Able to work flexible hours

·         High School Diploma

 

Preferred qualifications: Working knowledge of Zbake Bilingual with ability to read, write and speak Spanish Associate Degree in related field
