Description

 

JOBDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

ThisWindows Systems Administrator will support the administration and hardwaremaintenance of Dell Windows servers (approximately 30 physical servers) andDesktops (60-70 Desktop Machines).

 

As asenior and integral member of our Internal Systems Administration Team, thisprofessional will:

 

-Perform as a Lead Admin.

 

-Provide admin services for server and desktop hardware in all computingenvironments.

 

-Participate in the planning, building, upgrading, and maintenance of Windows 2003servers and how they relate to desktops.

 

-Maintain and support existing anti-virus, anti-spyware, application, and systempatch process and procedures, respond to problems and incidents as necessary.

 

-Maintain and support various trading and brokering applications (TheBEAST)and  patch process and procedures,respond to problems and incidents as necessary.

 

-Assist operations and program staff in the use and day-to-day management ofsystems and related periphery equipment.

 

-Provide technical support to Associations system development, technicalservices, and program teams.

 

-Actively participate in the development, implementation and adherence toTechnical Services documentation, system standards, policies and procedures.

 

-Monitor emerging technology developments and identify opportunities and issuesfor improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

- BSdegree from an accredited college with major course work in informationsystems, computer science, business administration of a closely related fieldor equivalent work experience. Masters degree is a plus.

 

- Aminimum of 5-7 years of Windows Systems Administration experience in aprofessional information systems environment.

 

-Strong experience with Windows Server 2003, Exchange Server 2003, Mail RelayServers and Microsoft Clustering service

 

-Experience with Blackberry Enterprise Server, SQL server setup/administration,Web Server (IIS) and Sharepoint, a plus.

 

-MCSE required.

 

-Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

 

-Solid communication and interpersonal skills, especially rapport-building.

 

-Ability to work independently and interact collaboratively/effectively with alllevels of staff.
