Job Description - VP, Servicing





 

General Description

Reports to the Director of Loan Servicing. Works in tandem withanother VP, jointly responsible for the day-to-day servicing operation. This position includes, without limitation, loan status monitoring, implementation and execution of loan servicing and loan resolution strategies with core and specialty subservicers, policy and process development, performance and vendor reporting, escalated borrower and/or third-party issue resolution, loan resolution decisions, and other duties consistent with managing a tier-1, high-performance loan servicing/master servicing operation. The position also requires supervision, training and hiring of staff, preparation and management to a servicing cost center budget, staffing and cost analytics, and responsibility for achieving cost of servicing targets set in conjunction with senior management. The VP will have further responsibilities of managing a staff of up to 20 people and preparing both workflow and management reporting analytics.

 

Specific Job Responsibilities

Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Providing daily performance updates to Arch Bay senior management

• Providing monthly performance reporting tied to identified performance metrics

• Providing monthly staffing and capacity plan updates

• Establishing monthly staffing schedules and maintaining time records

• Establishing staff training, performance evaluation and disciplinary programs

• Weekly vendor performance conferences

• Assisting senior management establish appropriate performance measurements

• Execution on loan servicing strategies

• Expect 20% annual travel for senior management meetings, vendor site visits, conference attendance and miscellaneous travel

• Preparation of detailed workflow reporting and performance analytics

• Preparation of detailed management and investor reports

• Ability to analyze loan data and assess delinquency trends

• Thorough knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding loan servicing

 

Job Qualifications-



 

Requirements

 

 

The following are the minimum qualifications and requirements for the VP, Servicing position:

 

• Bachelor's degree or 9+ years loan servicing experience

• 5+ years sub prime loan servicing experience

• Prior experience managing a staff of over 20 employees

• Demonstrated ability to perform to Tier I servicing standards

• Ability to use independent judgment to resolve issues

• Extensive servicing system knowledge, MSP experience highly preferred

• 3+ years vendor management experience
