Vice President, Business Development

NFP OVERVIEW:Headquartered in New York, National Financial Partners is a national network of independent financial advisors consisting of over 185 owned firms and more than 320 members, offering financial services to high net worth individuals and growing entrepreneurial companies.  Our firms specialize in life insurance and wealth transfer, corporate and executive benefits, and financial planning and investment advisory services.  NFP is a successful public company which trades on the New York Stock Exchange.  NFP offers a full range of comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, healthcare and dependent care FSA, and commuter benefits, as well as a matching 401k program and discounted employee stock purchase plan.  GENERAL SUMMARY:The VP Business Development is responsible for the revenue growth and the coordination and deployment of NFP resources to drive top line revenue for an assigned group of NFP acquired firms.  The VP Business Development will work closely with the Finance function to drive not only top line revenue but expense management as well.  ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Act as point of contact for an assigned number of NFP acquired firms (“Assigned Firmsâ€�) in the primary areas of business planning, revenue generation and, working with Finance, expense management. Determine the appropriate resources for non-core job functions and insure that the firms receive the assistance necessary.  Expand the NFP value proposition among Assigned Firms. Become conversant in the services offered by NFP and insure that the assigned firms utilize such services to increase revenue and enhance growth opportunities.  In coordination with Finance and Strategic Growth, prepare, update and implement Business Plans for Assigned Firms. Monitor revenue and expenses on a monthly basis in conjunction with Finance for Assigned Firms.  Visit Assigned Firms on a schedule determined in conjunction with the SVP and deepen the NFP relationship. Work as a team with the other VPs Business Development to expand the value proposition of the group as a whole.  Work in conjunction with Austin to promote a culture of inclusiveness while deploying appropriate Austin resources for Assigned Firms. Mentor Analyst assigned to the VP and work with the SVP in the Analyst’s career growth and development.
