USA jobs: Training & Development Team Lead - NJ/NY/CT

The Training and Development Team Lead is responsible for the day-to-day activities of assigned staff within the Training & Development Department as well as determining and executing the training needs for specific departments and business units.. This position will be responsible for coordinating the training and development activities within the NJ/NY/CT locations and will split their time during the work week between the Edison and Jersey City, NJ offices with additional travel to other locations as necessary.

Essential Duties

Conduct analysis of training and organizational needs working collaboratively to implement solutions.
Consult with subject matter experts to research, document, and validate training content.
Design and facilitate innovative, creative, cost-effective training programs to maximize employee performance
Select appropriate training aids and prepare lesson plans relevant to training subject and materials
Analyze employee feedback and performance data to measure, identify and eliminate performance gaps
Ensure that all training programs are delivered in accordance with corporate training policies and procedures
Manage training processes, procedures and programs to meet business unit requirements
Supervise subordinate training staff
Travel to other North American locations as needed
Skills and Experience:

Bachelors Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and
2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience an education.
Fluent with adult learning strategies and instructional design theories including accelerated learning.
American Society of Training and Development (ASTD),
Certified Professional in Learning & performance (CPLP) certification is a plus.
