Trust Consultant - Southwest Region Description Description:As a member of the Wealth Planning team in the region, represent UBS Trust Company internally to UBS Financial Advisors and their clients and externally to centers of influence. Serve as local contact for clients of the trust company and serve as liaison between the client and the trust companys middle office and back office administration functionsKey Responsibilities:Responsible for Business Development to include (50% to 80% of time): - Proactively develop leads generated by the Financial Advisor; - Review client/prospects existing financial and investment/brokerage statements; - Review/assess account governing instrument; - Participate in pre-call meeting with Financial Advisor and any other members of the Wealth Planning Team to prepare for sales call; - Establish the fee schedule per policy guidelines; - Review individual securities and current asset allocation for policy exceptions; - Provide unique client requirements; - Generate/produce new business presentation materials; develop and present proposal for trust services to the prospect; - Enter client/prospect information on client information system; - Identify and refer prospects for cross-selling opportunities to other Wealth Management specialties including insurance and credit; - Conduct seminars regarding estate planning and trust services; gather and review applicable pre-acceptance documentation; - Gather and review applicable documents required to open account; authorize signature on behalf of the Trust Company.Responsible for Client Relationship Management to include (20% to 50% of time):- Proactive calls and meetings;- Build and understand relationship plans; - Handle client calls, react to requests for funds and information; - Respond to client requests; - Respond to client complaints; - Handle correspondence and communication with attorneys, accountants and other client advisors; - Make appropriate referrals to outside agents, health care providers; - Assist with personal client matters, primarily guardianships, incapacited grantors, family trust situations, etc.Qualifications:Background/Qualifications:- Bachelors Degree- Advanced degree (JD/MBA) or professional designation (CPA/CFP) preferred- 3 years trust industry experience or equivalent financial services industry or private practice of lawSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceWe can offer you an exciting, fast-paced working environment, a culture of mutual respect and commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards and the opportunity to play a vital role in our growth.Job Location: Los Angeles, CAJob Number: RUSAUBS224-611441Company URL: http://www.ubs.com/Company Profile:UBS is a leading global financial services firm.
