Training Specialist

Under general supervision, develops and conducts soft skill and technical instructor-led training courses for organization employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of training and organizational needs working collaboratively to implement solutions

• Consult with subject matter experts to research, document, and validate training content

• Design and facilitate innovative, creative, cost-effective training programs to maximize employee performance

• Select appropriate training aids and prepare lesson plans relevant to training subject and materials

• Analyze employee feedback and performance data to measure, identify and eliminate performance gaps

• Ensure that all training programs are delivered in accordance with corporate training policies and procedures

• Travel to other North American locations as needed

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university;

• 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Fluent with adult learning strategies and instructional design theories including accelerated learning.

Language Ability

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical job documents.

• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

• Ability to effectively present information to a diverse population.

Mathematical Ability

• Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts to make fiscally responsible decisions and/or recommendations.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
