Training Department Senior Admin Assistant

Under limited direction, performs secretarial and administration assignments of a confidential nature within the BNY Mellon Wealth Management Training Department.  Utilize strong organizational skills to manage the calendar of a busy executive who travels frequently.  Execute priority work with senior manager in an extremely fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.  Position also includes preparation of the teams expense reports, coordinating all travel arrangements, tracking training equipment, writing communications, and conducting reporting duties related to all training classes offered.  Manages training rooms, orders supplies, and maintains local equipment such as faxes, printers, coordinates WebExs, conference calls and various aspects of operational logistics.  Position often interfaces with senior management.  Strong Excel a must.  Ideal candidate will possess strong written communications skills, strong organization skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

 

Typically requires a high school education.  More than 5 years of experience.  Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software and spreadsheets (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point).  Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential issues.  Position requires poise and tact and diplomacy.  Must be able to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization.  Work requires continual attention to detail in composing to detail, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
