Trading Systems Developer (Java)

Due to growth and expansion within our business, we are seeking multiple Java developers to be part of a team developing complex real time trading systems. As a part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and agile environment using your technology skills to engage the entire development lifecycle. You will work in a collaborative environment in which rational decision making is valued at all levels and approached on a risk versus reward basis. Essential Functions Participates in all phases of software development from initial requirements through final quality assurance, implementation and support.Designs and develops client components for the system.Designs and implements robust and when pertinent, re-usable source code. Required/Preferred Qualifications At least five years of object-oriented design and application development experience in core Java development is requiredCandidates should have extensive threading and messaging experienceMulti-platform experience (UNIX/Linux/Windows) as well as scripting, Directory Services, databases and message based middleware is strongly preferredStrong problem solving skills are requiredExperience developing complex multi-threaded event and message driven commercial software is strongly preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skills are essential * Apply Salary/Benefits At SIG, our employees are our most valued assets.
