Trading Assistant/Junior Trader

The Trading Assistant/Jr. Trader facilitates the flow of information between the Trading Desk, the executing broker and Calamos Asset Management's wrap programs. This position is responsible for the processing and entering of all trades into our proprietary trading system and for notifying wrap programs of pertinent trade information.

Primary ResponsibilitiesProcesses executed trades in our proprietary trading system Ensures proper allocation of trade information to various wrap programs Processes listed orders on brokerage proprietary systems Resolves trade problems between wrap programs and dealer community Assists Traders and Operations in daily functions Coordinates MLC liquidations on a daily basis Monitors Trade Error Log for Calamos Asset Management Resolves trade errors generated by various departments Maintains SOP's for brokerage proprietary systems Maintains archives of trading tickets for trading desk Performs related duties as assigned

QualificationsBachelor's degree strongly preferred in Finance 1 to 3 yrs previous trade processing or wire operating experience Must have good computer skills in Microsoft Office and a strong proficiency in Excel Must have a strong attention to detail Must have good organizational skills Must be able to work in a team environment
