Trading Assistant

Trading Assistant:

Major institutional equity trading firm based in mid town Manhattan has an opportunity for a Trading Assistant.  This position will provide critical trade support by executing, cross-selling, and clearing trades.  You will research and solve operational issues and work closely with middle and back office operations.  You will also play a key role in the on-going support of new clients, while working with two senior sales traders for opportunities to up-sell to customers.

Responsibilities include:

Provide support to senior traders

Work with Operations and Compliance in opening new accounts/coordinating paperwork, etc.

Work closely with key contacts at customers to resolve problems and ensure satisfaction.

Provide market information/data to customers and sales traders to promote increased order flow.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree Required

1+ year of industry experience

Skilled in market analysis, customer related strategies, problem-solving, written and oral communication, issue resolution, and multi-tasking

Ability to work independently and with minimal direction

Series 7 and 63 Required
