Title Clearance/Claims Specialist

The Title Clearance/Claims Specialist will be responsible for partnering with the Title Clearance team to research and resolve title issues and discrepancies.  Will receive title policies and follow up on deeds that are still showing.  Will contact attorneys as needed to clear existing title issues.  Additional related special projects as required. Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have worked in a title or closing capacity.  The candidate must have strong attention to detail, research and problem solving skills.  The ability to communicate clearly and effectively over the phone and in writing is essential.  The temperament for a successful candidate would include the following attributes: patience, flexibility, pro-active efficiency, resiliency to stress, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced team environment.  Must have computer proficiency and be willing to work efficiently in a paperless file environment. Job tasks may also include any of the following as work volume dictates:·  Grade and clear title·  Follow up on late title work·  Assist with locating abstracts·  Order deeds and follows up on delivery timelines·  Order title updates and buyer name searches·  Special Projects Interested candidates should send resume to ellenbrowen@mergisgroup.com  Ellen Browen The Mergis GroupA Division of Spherion Corporation  www.mergisgroup.com Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
