Technical Analyst
As a Technical Analyst in our dynamic organization, you will be a key member of an expert team building cutting-edge solutions for enterprise Master Data Management, enabling mission-critical, business-differentiating solutions. Our Business Data Systems Team is a dynamic group responsible for creating and maintaining a rich set of tools, systems, and processes to manage our master data, including Parties (organizations, companies and people), Agreements, Accounts, and Products. The members of this team are responsible for data stewardship and management of these entities and providing the expertise, analysis and research services for domain related questions. As a Technical Analyst, you will play a key role in providing this expertise and effective, correct data stewardship.As part of our BDS Team, you will consult with business sponsors, users, traders, process managers, and other stakeholders and you will collaborate with system architects, developers, and testers. Additionally, you will be involved in workflow and process engineering; data modeling; data analysis; and the preparation of associated technical documentation. This role will utilize your strong technical understanding of data and data relationships especially data schemas, communication protocols between data sets, logical and physical data modeling. Essential Functions Provide requirements framework and technical analysis and specifications for BDS projectsWork closely with developers, architects and database designers to design database schemas and object modelsProvide integration, data and analytical support to the consumers/users of BDS systemsAssist with the domain and data modeling activities for the BDS teamResponsible for some limited operational duties such as conducting due-diligence on party definitionsAct as a liaison between enterprise business users and BDSProvide BDS specific consulting to the stakeholders on devising effective and efficient approaches to achieve the project objectives Required/Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 5 years experience in a technical analyst capacityWell-versed in development documentation, process improvements, and workflow streamliningMinimum of a Bachelors Degree in either a related business or computer science disciplineHands-on development experience preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills Proven capabilities and proficiency across various technologiesAbility to assemble, analyze and evaluate data and to be able to make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to support the business stakeholders and the project teamA thorough understanding of Logical and Physical modeling conceptsHands on knowledge of ERWin strongly preferred in addition to UML, process flows, use cases, interview skills, workshop facilitation, and investigation of current state (existing systems and/or processes)Understanding of Object Oriented design and Service Oriented ArchitectureWillingness to work in all phases of the Software Development Life CycleUnderstanding of relational database technologies and conceptsBasic understanding of SQL; Oracle PL/SQL knowledge and experience preferredBackground knowledge or experience in the buy-side/sell-side trade industry preferredExcellent organizational skills; ability to plan and lead small projects a plusAbility to meet deadlines and to work well under pressureStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment* Apply Salary/Benefits At SIG, our employees are our most valued assets.
