We have a great opportunity on our Financial Services Team for a  Tax Accountant. This position is responsible for the following:Assist the Tax Supervisor in all aspects of tax reporting for all companies controlled and or managed by CFC. Assist with the annual CFC PatCap allocation and retirement, other state reporting requirements and with the group disaster recovery plan. Take the primary role of completing first draft of tax returns with guidance of the Tax Supervisor and completing the returns after the review from the Tax Supervisor. Assist the Tax Supervisor with research as necessary. Assist with the External Reporting effort to meet reduced SEC filing periods for Form 10-K and 10-Q.

Essential functions include:
Take lead role in the preparation of all Federal and State tax returns for all entities for Tax Supervisor review.
Maintain detailed procedures and documentation for all Federal and State tax returns.
Take lead role in preparation of other county and local tax returns (BPOL, property tax, unclaimed property) and business related filings.
Assist with CFC’s patronage capital allocation and retirement.
Assist in tax research and analysis as required
Assist in compliance with section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 regarding controls over tax reporting.
Take lead role in the gathering of information required to update the quarterly loan loss analysis and guaranty liability analysis. Prepare first draft of analysis for Supervisor review.
Preparation and filing of all tax forms required as condition of CFC serving as loan servicer – form 1099, form 1042 and 1042-T.



Requirements
Minimum Education & Experience:
BS/BA degree in accounting and 3 to 5 years of overall experience, with two years of tax accounting experience.

Desired Knowledge & Experience:
Tax knowledge and prior experience in preparing returns similar to the ones required to be prepared and filed by CFC, RTFC, NCSC and other subsidiary. Some experience researching tax issues. Has CPA or completed sections of the test or plans to take the exam.
