We currently have a Systems Controller opening with a large financial services company in St. Louis

Job DescriptionPerform application and operating system surveillance for ~2,500 globally-based Windows and HP systems, and perform corrective action tasks to restore service for clients subscribing to services.Monitor traps and user interface statistics, and perform diagnosis of system failures, including operating system deficiencies and faults.Distribute software packages using proprietary and off-the-shelf utilities.  This includes the distribution of Microsoft operating system, security and anti-virus software.Assist front-line client-supporting staff in identifying and resolving complex application and connectivity failures.Liaise with regional staff to ensure databases and central system devices are processing realtime data and that all emergency procedures and service restoration documentation and activities are updated and accurate.Responsible for reporting service outages, and documenting events and service outages in accordance with established procedures.Perform other assignments requested by the manager.

Required Experience Strong Windows operating system experience.Working knowledge of Basic Networking and TCP/IP. (subnet masking, IP addressing, routing, multicast network topology.Strong technical writing skillsStrong verbal, interpersonal, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work under pressure as part of a team in a sophisticated technical environment.Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a high pressure environmentProject management skills
