We are seeking a full time Supervisor - Appraisal Operations who will be responsible for supervising the FL Appraisal Department staff and in-house appraisers. Employee will also assist the Appraisal Department manager in the timely and accurate management of the appraisal workflow.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Supervises the day-to-day appraisal processing, tracking, and review operationMonitors day-to-day workflow to maintain effective and efficient productivity levelsMaintains working knowledge of appraisal mortgage terminology, standards of professional practice, and lawsAssists the Department Manager in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, development, and coaching/disciplining of appraisal department staffProvides input that is heavily weighted into the periodic performance reviews of direct reports, and assists in the delivery of those reviewsServes as escalation point beyond Team Leader for employee performance issuesCoordinates with direct reports, relationship management, and customer service to resolve the most complex appraisal issues and client lender issuesMust demonstrate superior time management, task organization, prioritization, and detail-oriented work habitsAssists in resolving time and attendance issues, including monitoring and maintaining staff vacation time, sick time and personal timeAvailable to work extended and/or overtime hours as necessary and as determined by the Department ManagerAssists in implementing procedures to obtain maximum efficiency and productivity at the lowest costServes as escalation point of contact in the absence of Department management staffMust be able to meet established minimum daily expectations for this positionThis position may require frequent over time, at times on a daily basis; must be available to work additional hours on short notice as determined by managementPerforms other related duties as assigned or directed All applications must be submitted through our company website at www.fiserv.com LOCATION: Melbourne, FLDEPARTMENT: AppraisalREPORTS TO: Manager - Appraisal OperationsSHIFT: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm; 40 + hours per week. Must be available for overtime and Saturdays!EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business or related field experience preferred.JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE: A minimum of one to three years' experience in a lending operation environment or its equivalent preferred. Candidate must be able to solve problems using sound judgment and experience, and possess business industry experience.MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: One to three years of supervisory experience is preferred.FUNCTIONAL AREA SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: A thorough knowledge of the organization and a very high level of technical proficiency in Appraisal process specifics.Ability to supervise the work of others and to contribute to staff development is essential.Ability to write effective reports, business correspondence, and policies and procedures. Ability to effectively communicate information, including responding to questions, to managers, department staff, and client lenders one-on-one or in groups. Has an exceptional understanding of the work environment and of individual processes, with a high level proficiency and technical skills required to complete assignments. Ability to plan, organize and schedule own work as well as the work of direct reports.Has a highly-refined business or technical vocabulary and extensive Appraisal and Title operations knowledge.Detailed knowledge of company operations, organization, and personnel needed to accomplish business objectives.
