The successful candidate will provide day-to-day functional supervision of the financial examiners in the field. This position has oversight responsibility for the quality and accuracy of work products generated by program examiners. It is responsible for the bank program examination scheduling processes and for developing and presenting examiner training; and assists the program manager with performance management.
This position will be located in either Salem or Portland. Frequent overnight travel. The location of the position will be discussed at the interview and finalized when the job offer is made.
The Department/Division:
The Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS) is a progressive business regulatory state agency dedicated to the mission of protecting consumers and workers in the State of Oregon. The Division of Finance and Corporate Securities has regulatory responsibility for 15 separate programs which are separated into two broad sections: Finance and Securities. This position resides in the Finance Section area with depository and non-depository institutions.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience examining financial institutions for financial safety, soundness, overall performance, and compliance with laws and regulations and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, banking, pre-Law, or a related field.
Three more years of experience examining financial institutions may substitute for the degree.
Because this position is responsible for the oversight of a team of examiners, preference may be given to applicants with supervisory experience.

Salary & Benefits:
Salary $54,300 to $80,100 annually, plus benefits.
