Staff Accountant - Revenue Recognition and Analysis

Our client is a stable and growing company. We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team to lead our efforts in the accounting of revenue recognition. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with the ability to work in a small, fast-paced environment offering long-term growth potential.  Hands on position as staff accountant supporting both revenue and general accounting. This is a great position to learn the specifics of the Company.

 

Responsibilities:



·  Review of revenue contracts and maintain contracts log

·  Assist with month end revenue reporting

·  Assist with revenue related month end account analysis

·  Prepare monthly account reconciliations and analysis to ensure accurate reporting for various balance sheet accounts

·  Maintain various cash, prepaid, fixed asset, accrual and debt accounts

·  Monitor internal controls and address control weaknesses through process changes

·  Monitor and reconcile cash activity for bank and investment accounts

·  Maintain Oracle fixed assets sub-ledger, ensuring proper capitalization of assets and related depreciation, along with monthly reconciliation of fixed asset accounts

·  Prepare monthly fixed asset account roll-forwards and monthly capital expenditures reporting

·  Analyze monthly trends and variances and support the annual planning process

·  Maintain documentation for accounting policies and procedures

 Qualifications:



·  3-5 years of general accounting experience

·  Oracle experience

·  Advanced EXCEL skills a must

·  CPA or studying for CPA exam a plus

·  Bachelor degree in accounting or related field

·  Outstanding interpersonal, communication and business partnering skills are essential.

·  Must be detail oriented, intelligent, confident, self-motivated, energetic and a team player.

·  Excellent time management skills and ability to meet close and other deadlines.
