Sr. Systems Engineer

Infinium Capital Management is seeking a motivated Senior Systems Engineer to manage and develop standards for both our Windows and Linux environments.  This professional will work hands on in a team environment, and will be expected to coach and mentor junior members of the Systems team.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  Work with our R & D and Software Development groups to forecast the Firm’s technology needs.

  Operating systems (Windows and Linux) optimization for high performance and low latency real time computing.

  Manage enterprise deployments of Windows and Linux servers and work stations.

  Automation, maintenance, scripting and monitoring.

  Other duties as assigned and needed.

 

 

Background Required: 3-5 years Expert level knowledge in both Windows and Linux Environments (Certifications, a plus).

  Expert level knowledge in both Windows and Linux scripting languages (.WSH, VBS, Perl, Python, etc.).

  3-5 years of experience in the trading industry as an IT systems expert, highly preferred.

  .Net, MS SQL, C, C++ experience as it relates to trading applications, preferred.

  Hardware and platform familiarity with respect to the various core models, latency issues, and throughput capabilities.

  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4 year University majoring in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or closely related field preferred.
