An online brokerage firm seeks an accomplished Sr. Software Engineer to join our team in Chicago, Illinois.

 

The web developer will build and deploy highly dynamic, next-generation online trading platform. This position involves working closely with programmers and traders to build and maintain high-speed data networks, execution and account management systems.

 

Responsibilities

·  Integrate high-speed data networks, execution and account management systems into a comprehensive online trading platform

·  Translate functional specifications into workable, deployable concepts

·  Work collaboratively with product managers, programming team, and outside vendors to implement mission-critical systems

·  Develop innovative concepts and create “buy-inâ€� among senior executives

 

Requirements

Education/Experience:

·  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

·  2 years experience as a web developer or similar role

 

Skills:

·  Highly motivated self-starter

·  Capable of working independently and within an interactive team environment

·  Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

·  Knowledge of financial markets is a plus

Compensation

·  Annual salary range is between $75,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience
