Sr. Retirement Business Development Coordinator
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Act as client service representative on a post-sale basis, serving as liaison between client and internal units to ensure that a final contract is issued and that the new business is properly transitioned to our 3rd party administrator.
• Function as the Lead Coordinator responsible and accountable for the accurate takeover of all new business.
• Responsible for handling and negotiating any post-sale issues, changes or deviations that may develop after placement.
• Responsible for controlling data and tracking data changes material to the final accounting of premium with Client on complex or unusual cases. Review and approve all annuitant data files used for system installation of new lives/benefits.
• Serve as the primary contact for new issues. Expedite written and verbal communication to external and internal clients.
• Oversees legal document review and contract preparation to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Responsible for the training of any new entry level or less experienced Coordinator.
• Develop and write new procedures as needed. Develop new forms as necessary. Direct and be involved with special projects.
• Assist in performing liability underwriting and client servicing on group retirement annuity products offered to the institutional and/or pension marketplace by performing pricing of individual lives and assisting in the pricing of new business as time permits.
REQUIREMENTS:Four-year college degree in business administration, mathematics or a related field. Minimum 2 years experience in the institutional financial and/or pension marketplace. Good knowledge of actuarial concepts and IRS tax regulations for qualified and non-qualified pension plans and insurance laws. Proficient with Excel (macros, pivots preferred) Experience in working directly with institutional clients and intermediaries preferred. Ability to understand and interpret contract provisions. Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
