Sr. Partnership Accountant - LaCrosse

LaCrosse Global Fund Services (LaCrosse), an independently managed subsidiary of Cargill, provides operations, middle-office, and administration services to hedge funds.  With close to 300 employees in 10 global office locations, LaCrosse offers customized services that allow fund managers to save time, cut costs, improve reporting and enhance investor confidence so that they can focus on the markets and on financial performance.  These services cover everything "after the trade." 
 
The Sr. Partnership Accounting Professional will be responsible for operating the LaCrosse partnership system and producing the partnership allocation and accounting reports for hedge funds under administration. As such, this position will liaise with the LaCrosse regional accounting, client service team and the manager of investor reporting to service new and existing hedge funds under administration.
 
This position is located in Edina, MN. 
 
Principal Accountabilities:
 
40% Responsible for the accurate partnership accounting and reporting on internal partnership systems.  This includes maintaining the environment of control and adherence to global standards and quality client service.
 
40% Responsible for maintaining the accounting books and records in Geneva and the reconciliation to the partnership system records.
 
20% Responsible for the onboarding of new client funds to provide partnership accounting services.  This includes maintaining the detailed service level agreement for the client funds, partnership system setup (internal or external systems) and procedures.
 
10% Be the technical matter expert on the partnership system and reports, partner level allocations (capital accounts, share classes/series, etc) and the fee calculations that support client funds in accordance with the provisions of the fund documents.
 
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Chartered Accountant.At least 3 years business/financial experience, preferably in the financial services/investment or fund administration industry.Previous experience with Geneva Partners, Mpartners, InvestTier, Hedgetek or other partnership accounting system or worksheet solution.Strong technical accounting skills and working knowledge of master/feeder, limited partnership, fund of fund structures.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office.Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage results in a growth business.  
Preferred:
Previous experience with Advent Geneva investment accounting system.Certified Public Accountant or Qualified Accountant.Public accounting or tax experience.Previous supervisory experience.Practical experience with International Financial Reporting Standards or US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
