Software Support Engineer

The Role:

 

Work as a member of the Support/Maintenance team, providing support and performing maintenance functions within the X-Border Transaction Servises group (OG/CTM)

 

Responsibilities:

 Work with a team of Software Engineers, Support Engineers, Product Designers, Project Managers, Release Engineers, Technical Operations, Testing and Release Services engineers. Defects fixes and enhancements for CTM projects General system and application support with minimal off-hour support work General development support including regression analysis, defect tracking and CTM deployment oversight. Implement/maintain tools to support development environment i.e., software builds, analysis, system monitoring

 

Qualifications:

 Experience working with software development projects Excellent debugging and analysis skills in a multi-tier, distributed environment Highly organized and detailed oriented Ability to define development process and institute well-documented procedures Strong communication and teamwork skills 1-2 year software engineering experience 1-2 years of experience with Java and JUnit framework 1 years of experience in Unix platform, shell scripting (college experience included) Familiarity with distributed environment (RMI/EJB), RDBMS, XML, Applets, Servlets Familiarity with automated builds, regressions and software deploymentsFamiliarity with Weblogic Server a plus The successful candidate will have excellent  organizational and verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work well within Cross-Funtional teams.  The candidate must be highly motivated, have good follow up abilities and be a self starter.  Attention to detail is critical.
