Software Engineer

Software Engineer Responsibilities:· Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications following the NDS SDLC.· Responsible for developing code that meets design specifications, follows standards, and has low TCO.· Responsible for participation and execution of production deployments.· Responsible for successful delivery of high quality releases on time · Responsible for identifying and making proposals for areas of improvement throughout the software development process.· Responsible for constantly monitoring and seeking to improve software engineering processes.· Responsible for researching new technologies within the financial services industry.  Duties:· Must gather requirements from customers, then document and translate into technical specifications.· Must analyze business and technical requirements.· Must possess and use creativity with strong organizational to analyze and solve business automation problems.· Must provide strong debugging, maintenance, troubleshooting, and refactoring skills. · Must identify bottlenecks and potential problems.· Must work well within cross-functional teams and use strong interpersonal skills to complete quality deliverables.· Must assist and support customers with technical issues as needed.· Must perform other duties as assigned.  Essential Knowledge and Skills:· BS Computer Science or equivalent experience.· 2+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with C#/SQL code in an ASP.NET/SQL server environment.· Demonstrated ability to handle complex aspects of software development and support in a large scale, distributed, · Windows-based computing environment experience including requirement definition; design coding and testing; and production releases.· Programming skills in C#, ASP.NET, and/or Java.· A solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.· Experience in Internet/ Distributed application development.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Outstanding team player who can also work independently.· Highly motivated, self-directed, and capable of independent work.
