Senior Technical Project Manager

Senior Technical Project Manager - 12 month contract to hire

Technical and functional qualifications for this position include:

- Experience working with business and technical teams, and documenting deliverables.
- Seven to ten years of relevant experience including 4-6 years of Technical Project Management experience (or equivalent).
- Expert negotiation, facilitation, and project planning skills.
- Proven skills in business judgment, leadership, and decision-making.
- Team player and self-starter who is comfortable with handling multiple projects simultaneously in a mainframe and distributed network multiplatform corporate environment.
- Experience leading, managing and delivering within an Iterative development process
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are required.
- Understanding of and experience with requirements development, identification of project stakeholders, project definition, testing processes, deployment/implementation strategies and the ability to deliver IT projects on time and within budget.
- Experience demonstrating leadership of technical professionals, including offshore, at various levels.
Experience planning in a dynamic environment, requiring flexibility.
- Experience with the Rational Unified Process and Application Architecture.
- BA degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Mastery of MS Project and the MS Office suite of products.
- PMP certification is a plus but not required.
