Senior Systems Analyst

The function of this position is to perform Tandem related environment configuration and diagnosis in order to establish a reliable QA application infrastructure environment with a focus on product configuration and setup for CBOT related products. This includes but is not limited to:

1. Support designers and programmers for ETS match engine and supporting infrastructure

2. Support existing development/QA platforms and interfaces with users to determine where improvements or enhancements are needed to better serve their needs

3. Interface with CME Group departments and assist with modifications required to support enterprise wide system changes

4: Facilitate QA life cycle testing of match engines, or support systems releases and work with development team to assess the scope of potential problems

5. Provide accurate estimates- time, costs, resources on projects assigned, informing management when risks are present that would change estimates

6. Monitor system utilization and recommend environmental enhancements or modifications as needed, weighing current and futures needs as demand dictates

7. Define and document infrastructure support processes

8. Lead problem resolution or opportunity identification efforts in support of exchange initiatives

9. Mentor and or train team members to increase overall team skills and effectiveness

10. Provide technical advice to management as new technologies emerge and evolve

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, statistics, economics or computer science. Minimum of 10 years experience in direct support of IT initiatives. Must have experience in a support coordination role and have the ability to work effectively across multiple organizational areas diagnose issues and reach consensus. Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills are essential to this role. Candidate must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and must be able to react quickly and decisively in order to solve issues in a timely manner. Knowledge of electronic trading systems and the futures and options marketplace is required. A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in direct support of Tandem applications and infrastructure is required. Experience with all of the following is essential: TACL, SQLCI, Pathway, FUP, RMS, FTP and OutsideView. Must have strong communication skills with a minimum of 5 years experience in a customer support role. Experience in supporting financial environments and infrastructure is a plus. Must be knowledgeable in models and capabilities of Tandem hardware and supporting infrastructure. The ability to communicate well across multiple departments is required to facilitate problem resolution and escalation of environment issues. Must be able to lead and direct resources to design and implement infrastructure projects.
