Senior Risk Analyst

BASIC FUNCTION The Senior Risk Analyst uses SAS, SQL, MS Excel and Access to plan, execute and analyze activities for risk management information database. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Evaluates loan portfolio. Conducts statistical analysis and research relating to customers, including project design, data collections, analysis, summary of findings, recommendations and presentation of results. Builds and validates credit risk strategies. Generates forecasting models to support new approaches to risk management and to achieve significant improvements to loss prevention, loan growth and profitability optimization. Develops and maintains a regular set of risk management reports on student loan population for presentation to executive team. Responds to ad-hoc queries on key risk issues, using the database to analyze business questions.
