Job Description:

 

Work with relationship management, institutional sales, and product development to devise communications strategies and tactics that:Generate awareness and sales leads to support acquisition of new institutional clients   Support ongoing client retention and business growth Develop understanding of FundQuest’s strategy, products, client needs, and competitionThink strategically and also execute tactically—this is a hands-on positionSupport launch of new products including mutual funds and model portfoliosWrite copy for all forms of marketing communications and format collateralMonitor budget activities for marketing initiativesManage projects to produce quality marketing materials within deadlines Initiate public relations efforts, develop relationships with industry reporters and research analystsWhen needed, manage relationships with external graphic designers and printers

 

Job Necessities:

 

Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years experience in financial services with at least 5 years in a marketing functionStrong writing skills:Definition of clear communication objectives, main messages, and target audiencesAbility to create initial and final drafts of headlines and copy for all forms of collateralEditing and proofreading with strong attention to detailAbility to format brochures and product literature using simple desktop publishing toolsDatabase skills:  knowledge of Excel or similar tool for prospect list development.  Experience with salesforce.com is desirable.Strong presentation, and verbal communication skillsExperience in most or all of these disciplines: collateral development, PowerPoint presentation development, website content, public relations, event management, and direct marketing.  Creative, detail-oriented and self-motivated team player that is able work independently, manage internal teams, and prioritize and manage multiple tasksExperience managing external communications professionals for design services and printingFamiliarity with web site design and maintenanceComputer skills:MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, experienced user of MS PowerPointExperience with website content (not design) updates using Dreamweaver is ideal Experience with salesforce.com is ideal
