Summary

Directs the overall financial plans and accounting practices of the company. Oversees treasury, accounting, budget, tax and audit activities. Oversees financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensures timely financial and statistical reports for management and/or Board use. Directs budget and cost controls, financial analysis, accounting practices and reports. Analyzes and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve systems and financial performance.  Must have very strong understand of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, accrual accounting, work in process, cash management and forecasting. Superior knowledge of MS Excel and various accounting programs. This is the senior accounting officer for the company.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate, long range forecasting, and insurance activities for the organization.

· Provides and directs procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services.

· Oversees the payroll and benefits coordinator and all duties pertaining to that position

· Appraises the organization's financial position and issues periodic reports on organization's financial stability, liquidity, and growth.

· Directs and coordinates the establishment of budget programs, and the general ledger.

· Coordinates tax reporting programs and investor relations activities.

· Analyzes, consolidates, and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.

· Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of the corporation's daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

· Analyzes operational issues impacting functional groups and the entire institution and determines their financial impact.

· Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
