Senior Business Analyst

Responsibilities - External:
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support our Claims Management System area. This person will be responsible for the collection, evaluation, understanding, testing and communication of business requirements involved in modifications of existing enterprise business applications. Specific activities include the following:
- Participates in system requirements definition, testing, training, implementation, and support of enterprise wide business applications.
- Solicits business requirements through interviews, workshops, and/or existing system documentation or procedures.
- Documents the results of analysis and testing activities using appropriate templates and tools, and be a key contributor in the definition of what the appropriate templates and tools are.
- Document gaps between the current state and the future state.
- Implement test strategies to ensure appropriate tests for new and modified requirements are identified, documented and executed.
- Uses industry standard analysis techniques to uncover business requirements, such as data flow modeling, use-case analysis, and workflow analysis.
- Writes SQL queries and executes scripts to analysis data and validate test results.
- Manage releases with developers, project managers, and infrastructure staff to ensure quality and integrity through all phases of development, testing, staging and production.

Qualifications - External:
What you need to succeed:
- At least 4 years of business systems analysis experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical staff including ability to document and convey complex ideas both verbally and in written form
- MS SQL Server query experience
- Experience developing test scripts and testing experience
- Strong skills using Microsoft Office tools to produce documentation
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Facilitation and meeting management skills
- Test automation experience preferred
- Experience in Insurance or Financial Services industry preferred
